Necessary Solitude

Tuesday, 28 December 2010

Just a couple of days. With nothing to do except what I want to do. Or, as in the case of sleep, need to do. By myself. Responsible for no one. No one else, that is.

Retreat. Turn inward. And emerge rested. And renewed.

Starting…in twelve hours.

Thank G-d for grandparents. They spoil us when we’re little, they rescue us when we’re parents and then we get to become them we get older (if we’re so lucky). Enjoy your solitude.

Thank God for them, indeed. Although they have nothing to do with my retreat. Kids are with their other custodial parent (thanks, PC!!!).
