Generational Payback?

Yesterday was one of those days that I wished the following disclaimer would have magically appeared above Peach’s head as he walked down the halls on a welcoming tour of his new school:
I dressed myself today. Please don’t blame my mommy. She is very fashionable and knows perfectly well that a brown, long-sleeved, striped shirt, forest green sleep shorts, mismatched socks, light-up sneakers, topped off with a blue Batman mask and a black Batman cape do not match. However, given that I was planning on wearing my Iron Man costume complete with a sound-emitting Iron Man mask, she decided to pick her battles.

Ha!! There are days I wish my daughter would have a disclaimer pop up over her when she leaves the house too.
Batman mask and cape? A four-year-old’s version of Dress for Success!
I miss having Batman randomly pop into my office. 😦
When our kids were younger, my wife had two buttons made which our children were REQUIRED to wear depending on the circumstance. One said “Dressed Myself”. the other said “Daddy Dressed Me”.
Oh, honey, I *guarantee* that everyone knew that.
You’re safe.
Parenthood is all about picking your battles! I like your choice! 🙂
