The Party’s Over…
My first birthday party here in our new home was a success. And I owe it ALL to Pinterest.
What? You don’t know from Pinterest?!? It is the third largest social network…just behind Facebook and Twitter. Which tells you…nothing. It’s like a storyboard or a design board. It is, for me, a place to organize things, places, ideas of inspiration. And it made me look like a party-throwing maven.
Thanks to the creativity of others, I was able to do the following:
- find adorable invitations
- create an outstanding cake display table
- construct a fun backdrop for a group picture
- design and make personalized Tshirts for each of Peach’s friends
[The red “Wonder Woman” shoes was my idea :)]
If I was doing it all over again, I would have taken more pictures. Unfortunately, I was too busy chatting with friends and overseeing everything.
On second thought, maybe it’s OK that I was just completely in the moment.
It was fabulous and you are quite the maven! I am sure you can guess my favorite picture….the story of the chicken and the peach continues…
Happy birthday! I’ve been resisting Pinterest because it just seems like yet another obligation, another password. But you are saying its fun?! Whaaat? Could it help me plan decor for Tech Support’s very science bar mitzvah? If so, would you be willing to give me a photo tutorial? I’m serious. That party looked great!
Mazel tov on your success with the party and happy birthday to Peach!
I’ve been trying to use Pinterest as a place to store interesting and relevant articles related to my masters thesis topic, but it seems they’re short on that Martha Stewart-esque touch! =)
I am not worthy. Kol hakavod–it looks beautiful! And, yes, it is more than ok that you were in the moment.
Am supposed to head out towards Queen Mary way soon, made me think of you. Glad to hear that the party was a success.
Holy Batman! What a fun party! You did a great job. Pinterest has served you well, added to your superpowers for sure. I’m glad you got to do lots of socializing 🙂
