Not Quite There Yet

Friday, 8 February 2008

Update from last night:

7:40-10:40pm slept
10:40 cried out a few times but then…PUT HIMSELF BACK TO SLEEP 🙂
10:40-2:00am slept
2:00am-2:15am nursed and went RIGHT BACK TO SLEEP

“So far so good,” I thought.

2:33am-4:00am SCREAMED HIS BLOODY HEAD OFF!!!

and then slept until 6:40am, when he woke up happy as a lark.

If he can do it once, he can do it again. He’ll get there soon. Until then, margaritas will do wonders for your outlook (and the tequila may make him sleep longer, too). Sleep training my older child was brutal but SO worth it. My little one was easier, which was great b/c I had less energy the second time around.

    Shabbat Shalom!

We used Robert Ferber, M.D.’s book. Adam typically woke up every 2-3 hours crying before using the book. It took him 2 days to be sleep trained — I would highly recommend Ferberizing. I modified it, but it worked well. I’ve also heard the book, The No Cry Sleep Solution, is good. Good luck!

    Thanks ladies!!!

We’ve got the No Cry One here as well.

I think that moderation is probably the key to any of these “methods” as is consistency!!
